Regional Athlete Games will take place on August 15th at 10:00 AM. The window to register for Athlete Games begins Monday, March 3rd and ends Friday, June 9th at 12:00 AM EST.

Athlete Games FAQ

GENERAL INFORMATION


Who can register for the Athlete Games?

    Any Burn Boot Camp Trainer who is officially onboarded at a location set to open before August 22, 2026. Trainers must receive permission from their Franchise Partner before registering.

What are the form guidelines I need to follow for each workout?

    WORKOUT #1: CLEAN UP, AISLE #4 (TIME CAP = 10 MINUTES)

    FORM GUIDELINES:

    Dumbbell Power Clean
    • Start Position - Weights can be in hands to begin; the 1st rep of every set must begin with some part of both dumbbells touching the floor. Entirety of both feet must remain on the floor.
    • Dumbbell Must Make Shoulder Contact - Front of the dumbbell must be horizontal or higher at the top of the rep; Dumbbells must make contact with the shoulders at the top.
    • Stand to Full Extension - Stand to full extension at the top of the rep; Athlete should not be bent down.
    • Bottom of the Rep - Hands must cross the hips along with the entire dumbbell; Elbows must lock out at the bottom before initiating the next rep.
    Double Unders
    • Rope Passes Twice Per Jump - The rope must clearly pass under the feet two times per jump. A single under or trip is a no-rep. You may use your own rope.

    FORM GUIDELINES:

    Floor Tricep Press
    • First Rep - No touching dumbbells until workout begins. Must load weights themselves, no help from counter. First rep starts at the top of the rep, extended position. Neutral grip is the only grip allowed for all reps.
    • Elbows at Bottom, Full Lockout at the Top - Elbows must touch the ground at the bottom of every rep and there must be full elbow extension at the top of every rep.
    • Both Arms Press Simultaneously - No alternating; both arms must move together for the rep to count.
    • Feet Flat & Butt on Floor - Both feet and butt must remain in full contact with the floor for all reps. If either feet or butt rise off the floor during any part of the rep, then it will be a no rep.
    • Sets - Sets do not need to be performed unbroken. Athletes must fully release dumbbells completely after set #1 and re-start set #2 just like the first. Both sets must be completed before moving to the next exercise.
    Alternating Reverse Lunges
    • Knee to Ground - The back knee must touch the ground on each lunge for the rep to count.
    • Alternating Reps Required - Athletes must alternate legs every rep; completing multiple reps on one side is a no-rep.
    • Full Stand Between Reps - Hips and knees must fully extend before transitioning into the next lunge. The last rep of each set is completed at full extension at top of rep.
    • Weights - Weights must be bottom loaded in hands. Loading weights on shoulders is not allowed.
    • Sets - Sets do not need to be performed unbroken. Athletes must fully release dumbbells completely after set #1 and re-start set #2 just like the first. Both sets must be completed before moving to the next exercise.
    Push Press
    • Hands & Dumbbells - Every 1st rep must begin by dumbbells contacting shoulders followed by a press to full extension overhead. Grip must remain neutral for all reps. Bilateral reps only, no alternating or single reps.
    • Full Lockout at the Top - Arms, hips, and knees must be fully extended with dumbbells. If head of either dumbbell does not hit shoulder at bottom of rep or no full arm extension at top, then no rep.
    • Feet & Legs - Both feet must remain fully on the floor during every rep. Any part of the foot leaves the floor during a rep, then it will be a no rep. Athletes are allowed to use their legs at the range of motion discretion to complete rep.
    • Sets - Sets do not need to be performed unbroken. Athletes must fully release dumbbells completely after set #1 and re-start set #2 just like the first. Both sets must be completed before moving to the next exercise.
    Lateral Facing Hurdle Hopover
    • Jump - Only 2 footed jumps are allowed. Athletes are allowed to take just one step back, one foot always planted, load on both feet, and jump over hurdle. No running starts or running jumps.
    • Hurdle - Only the athlete can touch the hurdle. A no rep will be counted if the athlete knocks over the hurdle during a rep. If an athlete contacts the hurdle but the hurdle does not get knocked over, then the rep will count.
    • Landing - Athletes are allowed to land with both feet at the same time, staggered, or with one foot.


    WORKOUT #3: BELL OF THE BALL (15 MINUTES)

    FORM GUIDELINES:

    Med Ball Slams
    • Full Extension Overhead - Athletes can't touch the Med Ball until the workout starts. The ball must be lifted from the ground overhead with hips, knees, arms fully extended at the top of the rep where the arms are between ears & nose.
    • Complete Ground Contact - The ball must contact the ground directly on every rep.
    • Feet Considerations - When performing a slam, both feet must remain on the ground, but heels may come off. If both ball of foot and heel of either foot come off together, then it will be a no-rep.
    • Reps - Sets don't need to be performed unbroken but must finish the entire set before switching to Kettlebell Swings.
    Kettlebell Swings
    • First Rep - Rep #1 or the first rep of the next set may start with your first hip movement and swing.
    • Full Range of Motion - The kettlebell must reach sternum level and full hip & knee extension at the top of every rep.
    • Grip - You may choose to use overhand grip or mixed grip (one overhand and one underhand) & can change your grip throughout. Athletes may use only one grip aide from this list: chalk, gloves, or wrist wraps. Lifting straps are not allowed.
    • Arms - Elbow flexion is allowed when swinging the kettlebell.
    • Reps - Sets do not need to be performed unbroken but must finish the entire set before switching to Med Ball Slams.
    Full Burpees
    • Chest to Ground - Chest must clearly contact the floor at the bottom. Quads cannot touch the floor. Stepping back into the bottom of the rep is a no rep.
    • Full Extension at Top - Hips and knees fully extend at the top of every rep.
    • Reps - Sets do not need to be performed unbroken but must finish the entire set before switching back to Med Ball Slams.

Can I get a refund if I am injured or can no longer attend Regionals?

    No, all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued. However, you may transfer your registration to another eligible Athlete by emailing [email protected] to request a transfer. All transfers must be completed by August 1, 2026.

Can I change my regional host location after registering?

    Yes, you can update your regional host location until June 9, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. After this date, no changes will be allowed.
    To update your registration:
    • Visit events.burnbootcamp.com
    • Log into the "My Account" section (linked in your confirmation email)
    • Update your ticket information

When will I receive details about my regional host location, heat times, and other logistics?

    Once registration closes on June 9, 2026, all rosters will be finalized and sent to regional hosts. Expect to hear from your host within two weeks with more details.

Can I compete in Regionals if I know I can't attend Finals?

    Yes, you may compete in Regionals. However, if you qualify for Finals, you will not be eligible to advance.

Are workout modifications allowed due to injury?

    No. All workouts must be completed as written, with no modifications or accommodations. If you are injured and unable to complete an exercise, we encourage you to prioritize safety and sit out as needed.
